The six-team competition will be held in the UAE, starting August 27 and the final will be held on September 11. Asia Cup 2022 Teams:

Six teams will compete in the Asia Cup 2022. While five teams will get a direct qualification, one team will make its way to the tournament after competing in the qualifiers. India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will be the five direct qualifiers and one team from Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore, and UAE will join the abovementioned five teams in the Asia Cup 2022.

This year’s Asia Cup 2022 will be held in the 20-over format. With an eye to gear up preparation for the T20 World Cup 2022, the Asia Cup 2022 will be held in the T20 format. This is the only second time when Asia Cup will be played in 20-20 format.
