Asia Cup 2023: India has become the latest team to announce its strong 17-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on August 21, named the Indian squad for the tournament. Earlier, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal had announced their squads for the Asia Cup 2023. Pakistan was the first team to name its squad for the continental tournament, which begins on August 30 in Multan. Pakistan will take on Nepal in the tournament opener at Multan Cricket Stadium.
The Asia Cup 2023 is set to be played in a hybrid model and will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. While four fixtures will be held in Pakistan, the remaining nine games will be staged in Sri Lanka.
The tournament will see its highly anticipated fixture – India vs Pakistan – on September 2nd at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. India and Pakistan are expected to clash multiple times in the same tournament. The aforementioned two sides will be up against each other in the Super 4s as well and could meet in the Final of the event on September 17.
