Asia Cup 2023 is just a few weeks away from now. There were a lot of talks and meetings between the ACC, BCCI and PCB related to the venue of the tournament but ultimately it paved the way for the hybrid model. According to which the event will be played in two countries viz Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
The tournament will be played from 30th August to 17th September. Out of 13 games, 4 games will take place in Pakistan whereas 9 games will be played in Sri Lanka. Coming to the Indian team they will open their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on 2nd September.
Asia Cup 2023: Dates of Team India’s camp for Asia Cup revealed!
The Indian team will be having a special camp ahead of the Asia Cup 2023 to prepare for the tournament. The team will be assembling in Bangalore at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and will be undergoing several sessions to get themselves read.
The camp will be held from 24th August to 29th August and following that Indian team will be travelling to Sri Lanka to play the tournament. They will be opening their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on 2nd September in Kandy.
Jasprit Bumrah along with other youngsters, who are in the scheme of things, will be joining the camp later on as the pacer will be leading the young team in Ireland. India will be played three-match series at The Village from 18th August to 23rd August. Bumrah will be making his comeback in the series after a prolonged injury.

This will be for the first time in a while when the Indian team will be having a camp ahead of any tournament. This basically can be because to get used to the ODI format as since the last two years they haven’t played this format much. They have played a few games but haven’t been able to score big and were getting out even under 200.
Also with conditions hot and humid in Sri Lanka, the camp at NCA will be of great use for the team. It’ll also be of great help to the team with ICC World Cup approaching as well. It’ll be a great opportunity for the team to find the correct balance and see where they are lacking.
