The Asian Games 2023 is all set to take place in Hangzhou in September and October. Cricket as a sport was inducted into the Asian Games in 2014 but the Indian team didn’t participate in that. However, this time around India will be participating in it.
It is learned that BCCI is all set to send the India B team to take part in the tournament as the main team will be preparing for the Asia Cup and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The reports have suggested that Shikhar Dhawan will be given the responsibility to lead the team as he is experienced.

Shikhar Dhawan is likely to lead the team and along with him, it is expected that young Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad will be there in the team as his opening partners. They are one of the best batters going in the Indian domestic circuit and it’s likely that they will be there.
In the middle order, it is expected that youngsters in Sai Sudharsan, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma and Tilak Varma will be there. The four young players have taken world cricket by storm in the domestic circuit and have been scoring runs consistently for their respective teams. They also are touted as the future of Indian cricket.

Krunal Pandya along with Washington Sundar and Venkatesh Iyer are likely to be the three all-rounders in the squad where young Ravi Bishnoi might too find a place in the team. Talking about pacers, it’s likely that Arshdeep Singh, Akash Madhwal, along with Navdeep Saini and Prasidh Krishna are expected to be there.
