Australia vs India: The injuries hit the Australian side faced another bow on Tuesday with Steve Smith leaving training after 10 minutes. It is learned that Steve Smith leaves training after complaining of a sore back during the practice session on Tuesday.
According to the Sydney Herald Morning report, Steve Smith trained for almost 10 minutes before walking back to the Australian dressing room. After that Smith didn’t turn up for the net practice session.
Cricket Australia’s spokesperson later cleared that the batsman would not train until Wednesday. He also confirmed that Smith was getting treatment for the back soreness after reaching down the ball.
Steve Smith was seen practicing for a while in the nets of Adelaide two days before the Day/night encounter but he was not carrying his equipment, unlike others. However, he later walked off along with the Australian physio looking uncomfortable.
Smith earlier during the ODI’s almost missed one of the games but was last moment came fit and smashed his second back-to-back century against India.
Australia has been brutally damaged by the injury concerns with many key players getting ruled out of the game.
David Warner is one prominent name, Steve Smith’s is doubted to participate in the first test game. However, young opener Will Pucovski is also ruled out.
