BAN vs IND: India’s likely squad for the Bangladesh T20I series

BAN vs IND: Bangladesh are visiting the Indian subcontinent as they have already begun their red ball campaign at Chennai, with the first test going in favour of the Indians in a solely dominated match.

The following test match action has been shifted to Kanpur, though the match has been severely interrupted due to bad light on Day 1 as the resorts from Revsports suggest Indian teams return to the hotel following rain interrupting play on the second day of the game.

The two teams will also indulge in a 3-match series of the shortest format of the game, as Suryakumar Yadav will once again be back in action with his team. The last time the team played the Lankans in the series, the series saw some exceptional skills from different players.

The most likely squad will feature the players under the captaincy of India’s newly appointed skipper of the shortest format of the game, Suryakumar Yadav.

India will once again back the likes of the star opener Abhishek Sharma who had a promising start to his career following the maiden ton in his debut series. In the absence of their opening option in Shubman Gill, Abhishek might again have a role to play in the Indian side.

Also, the promising Jaiswal is likely to hold onto his spot, though the middle order might be garnered by the likes of players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Rinku Singh, Riyan Parag and the wicket-keeper Jitesh Sharma.

The all-rounder tally has seen many changes in the Indian squad as only Hardik Pandya has retained his spot in the team, with the likes of Washington Sundar who replaces the full-time all-rounder Axar Patel who has been relieved of some workload. Nitish Kumar Reddy might finally make his debut for the Indian team after he was withdrawn from the Zimbabwe tour following his injury.

World Cup campaigner and all-rounder down the order, Shivam Dube has also been included in the Team. The bowling deck might be seeing some new faces with Harshit Rana, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh and the likes of spinner Ravi Bishnoi.
