BAN-W vs IND-W 2023: India Defended 96 runs, leading the series by 2-0: Indian Women and Bangladesh Women played the second T20I match at Shere Bangla Stadium, Mirpur.

India Women defeated Bangladesh Women in a close contest by eight runs. The Player of the Match was Deepti Sharma, who took three wickets and scored ten runs in 14 balls.

The match was low scoring, and both the teams had poor performances with the bat, but bowling was so good. India Women’s Team Bowler has successfully defended such a low target in T20I cricket.

Indian Women won the toss, and they batted first but couldn’t start well. They lost three wickets in the Powerplay, and then, they got all got at 95 runs on the scoreboard with the loss of eight wickets.

Shafali Verma was the highest run scorer for India in this match, and she scored 19 runs in 14 balls, whereas Skipper Harmanpreet Singh got out at duck, but she was the player of the match in the last match.

From Bangladesh Side, Sultana Khatun took three wickets in her four overs spell, whereas Fahima Khatun got two wickets and Marufa Akter, Nahida Akter and Rabeya Khatun took one wicket each.

Bangladesh Women failed to chase the target and got all out at 87 runs; the Openers didn’t start well and easily lost the wickets, whereas the Middle-order also didn’t performed.

Skipper Nigar Sultana tried her best to win the match but couldn’t finish the inning and got out by scoring 38 runs. Interestingly, she is the only batter in this match who scored more than 20+ runs.

India Women’s Side, Deepti Sharma and Shafali Verma took three wickets each whereas Minnu Mani got two wickets and Bareddy Anusha has taken one wicket.
