BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah on Shifting WPL

WPL did not see many gaps with the IPL. Hence, BCCI is considering pushing the slot of the tournament near the festivities of Diwali. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah is convinced that there is a separate audience of the WPL and that the tournament will be a greater success in the upcoming years.

“We are mulling the possibility of scheduling the WPL, in the home and away format, in the Diwali window; not two seasons in a year but just a different time window,”
