BCCI to unveil Team India’s new jersey for T20 World Cup 2022: Following the announcement of a 15-men formidable squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sent Indian fans down the memory lane as the cricket board announces the launch of the new T20 World Cup jersey.
A day after announcing India’s squad for the World Cup 2022 in Australia, BCCI dropped a video across its social media handles indicating India’s new jersey for the show-piece event. A campaign named #HarFankiJeysey has also been launched by the BCCI and MPL Sports, the official kit sponsor of team India.
Indian all-format skipper Rohit Sharma along with middle order batter Shreyas Iyer and all-rounder Hardik Pandya featured in the video shared by the BCCI, urging the fans to participate in the unveiling event of the new jersey.
“As fans, you make us the cricketer we are,” said Rohit Sharma in the video.
Though the jersey hasn’t been revealed yet, the fans are elated with the fact that the BCCI has chosen the iconic sky blue colour for India’s T20 World Cup 2022 jersey. Notably, team India wore a similar coloured jersey during the 2011 ODI World Cup.
Certainly, the new jersey will replace the Billion Cheers jersey that was sported by team India during the last T20 World Cup in the UAE.
