Big blow for RCB! Phil Salt all set to miss IPL 2025 final against PBKS due to...
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is likely to face a massive blow for the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. According to reports in ESPNCricinfo, it has been learned that Phil Salt is set to miss the clash against Punjab Kings (PBKS) due to the birth of his child.
The final of the IPL 2025 is all set to take place on Tuesday (3rd June). RCB and PBKS will be clashing with each other in the final of the tournament at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both teams are yet to win the title, and hence, we will have new winners this time around.
Phil Salt, who has been the major reason behind RCB reaching the final, wasn't spotted in the training session ahead of the final. The reports added that he has flown back home for the birth of the child and won't be available for the match, as he wasn't there in Ahmedabad as well.
What caught the attention of many was that Tim Siefert was putting in the hard yards in the practice session. The keeper-batter worked hard in the nets, and if Phil Salt won't be there, it is likely that he will open the innings with Virat Kohli in the final of the IPL 2025

Phil Salt has been going through a purple patch with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2025. The keeper-batter has slammed 387 runs at a strike-rate of 175.90 and an average of 35.18, which in itself reveals how big a blow his absence will be if he misses the final of the IPL 2025.
Phil Salt also played a magnificent hand for RCB in Qualifier 1 of the IPL 2025. He slammed a brutal half-century that helped his team chase the target of 102 runs with ease and took them to the final of the tournament.
It remains to be seen how RCB will fare in his absence. The franchise has been in red-hot form, and it won't be a surprise if they end up winning the title. Many have backed them to lift the trophy, and they would be keen to end their title drought.
