The multi-purpose facility Brian Lara Cricket Academy is located in southern Trinidad, just outside the heart of the city of San Fernando in Tarouba, on the Island of Trinidad and Tobago. Named after former West Indies Captain Brian Lara, the stadium was built and officially inaugurated in 2017.

Located approximately four kilometers from the coastline, the Brian Lara Cricket Academy was envisioned as part of a larger complex spanning 180 acres (0.73 km²) of farmland in Tarouba, with an investment of TT$1.1 billion. The facility was designed by the US architectural firm Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum. The sports facility is exactly located at the Coordinates: 10.29667°N 61.42972°W
With a capacity of around 15,000 visitors, the Brian Lara Cricket Academy or Brian Lara Stadium is set to host five important cricket matches of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 which includes the first semifinal of the tournament on 26th June.
This ground has yet to host any test match on international levels. The only Men’s ODI match played here was between West Indies and India on August 2023. Along with women’s games, this venue has been host to 7 T20Is till now in its fresh history.
