Cameron Green Says “I’m Fully Available” for TATA IPL 2023. Rubbishes Reports of Unavailability.

Here is a quick look at the latest interview with Cameron Green. Green has stated that he is fully prepared for the TATA IPL 2023.

Cameron Green, the 21-year-old all-rounder from Australia, is expected to be “fully available” for the Mumbai Indians in the TATA IPL 2023. Earlier there were reports of him being injured and there was a cloud of uncertainty over his presence. The Mumbai Indians broke the bank last month when they signed Cameron Green for a whopping 17.5 crores, making him the second-most expensive pick in IPL history. Here is an in-depth look at the same:

Cameron Green Says “I’m Fully Available” for TATA IPL 2023:

When enquired about the reports of his unavailability in TATA IPL 2023 by SENSports Western Australia this is what Cameron Green had to say, “No, that’s not correct. I’ve heard about this for quite a while now, I think. I don’t know where it’s come from. I’ve heard that I’m 100 percent available for both skill sets in the IPL at the start, so yeah, I’m not too sure where that’s kind of come from”.

When asked about whether the price tag overwhelms him at times, this is what he had to say, “Yeah obviously the auction turned out really well but I think at the same time you want to go out there and perform and kind of re-pay the faith they showed you,”

Cameron Green Injured his Finger in the Second Test Match:

Cameron Green had injured his finger in the second test match against South Africa. This injury led to these unneeded speculations. He started this boxing day test match on a high by taking 5 wickets in the very first innings. In the second innings, even after injuring his finger, he came out to bat and scored a splendid 50. His finger injury was a minor one and it is not the reason for his being unavailable in the TATA IPL 2023.

Mumbai Indians may Use Green in Place of Kieron Pollard:

Cameron Green Replacement
The Mumbai Indians are also looking to replace Hardik Pandya. So, Tim David or Cameron green can fit the bill. IMG SRC: BCCI

Cameron Green’s T20 package of stats is very small. He hasn’t played many games in the shortest format. And in the games in that he has got the runs, he has batted in the top order. The Mumbai Indians are looking for Green to replace Kieron Pollard. But with him getting all the runs as an opener, they might even ask him to open with Kishan with Rohit coming lower in the order. The Mumbai Indians always bring out a few surprises and it will be great to see how effectively they make use of the assets available.
