As reported by Dainik Jagran, the BCCI during its selection meeting in Delhi for India's all-format squads for the South Africa series, hurled questions at Indian management. Rahul Dravid, who has been reportedly provided with an extension until the next T20 World Cup, reportedly blamed the pitch used at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad as one of the reasons why Team India couldn't defeat Australia in the World Cup 2023 Final on November 19. He added that the team didn't expect the surface to remain dull and it didn't turn as much as they had anticipated.

Reacting to Raza's remark, Shami wrote a post on the social media platform Instagram in the middle of the season and said that Raza should have some shame. Team India were the favorites for the tournament as they were the only undefeated side till the semifinals. This domination by the team resulted in as many as six Indian players getting picked in the ICC's team of the tournament of the World Cup 2023. Besides, the ICC's playing 11 includes two Australian players, one Sri Lankan, one South African, and one player from New Zealand.

Next is Rohit Sharma and he is also the captain of the side. Arguably the most impactful player of the tournament who has the best strike rate in the first 10 overs than any other team. Mitchell bats at number four. In his first 50-over World Cup competition, he scored two hundreds&nbsp;against India. With a brilliant 130 in the round-robin&nbsp;against the Men in Blue and a brilliant 134 in the semi-final, the prolific Kiwi amassed an overall total of 552 runs.

Following numerous significant knocks during the tournament including a century in a comfortable victory against the Netherlands, Rahul of India stands at No. 5. Rahul led India in hitting?66 in the final, but it was in vain as a determined Australian team denied the hosts.



Next, there are two all-rounders on the team- Glenn Maxwell and Ravindra Jadeja. Maxwell smashed his first ODI Double-century in this World Cup and won an almost-defeated match against Afghanistan. Ravindra Jadeja was handy and most flexible at any stage of the game.

Another Australian on the list is Adam Zampa. Zampa was exceptional with his leg spinner and added variations this season in the World Cup 2023. He took as many as 23 wickets and just behind an Indian bowler in the most wickets tally.



Jasprit Bumrah is the fifth Indian on the list. He sits at the top 5 of the most wicket-takers' list but his impact on the bowling is the reason why he is there on the list. He is followed by Dilshan Madhusanka of Sri Lanka. This left-handed fast bowler was the only good present by the Lankan team and he is there on this list.



Mohammed Shami, the leading wicket-taker in the competition, was exceptionally impressive considering that he didn't even play for the team earlier in the season.

IND vs AUS: : The wait continues for the Indian team as they lost the World Cup 2023 Final to Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19. The setting was perfect for the Indian team to get their hands on the illustrations World Cup title, but it was just not meant to be India's day in the business.



India's perfect run in the World Cup 2023 didn't turn out to be a memorable memory for the Men in Blue as they crumbled against Australia in the Final when it mattered the most. India faced a six-wicket defeat against Australia, who became the World Champions for the record sixth time.



Although India had their moments in the game, all those were short-lived as the Aussies completely outplayed the hosts. Travis Head scored a match-winning century in the chase against India's 240-run total and that really sealed the game for Australia, while Marnus Labuschagne played a gritty unbeaten knock of 58 runs to take his side home.



The scenes after India's loss were certainly not something which any true Indian would have liked. Emotions from all the faces present in the venue were on display, most of them having a feeling of disappointment, while only a handful cheered and celebrated.



Indian coach Rahul Dravid said it was tough for him to see his boys emotional after such a rigorous show all over the last few weeks. Captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul couldn't believe what they suffered. Mohammad Siraj was in tears as he was consoled by Jasprit Bumrah on his way back to the dressing room.

?Yeah, of course, he's (Rohit Sharma) disappointed, as are many boys in the dressing room," said Rahul Dravid after India's six-wicket loss to Australia. "It wasn't, yeah, there were a lot of emotions in that dressing room. It was tough to see as a coach because I know how hard these guys have worked, what they've put in, the sacrifices they've made. So, it's tough."



"I mean, it's tough to see that as a coach, because you get to know these boys personally. You get to see the effort they put in, the hard work that we've put in over the last month, the kind of cricket we've played. But yeah, but that's sport. That happens. It can happen. And the better team won on the day," he added.



Dravid further said that the team will reflect back on their journey in the World Cup 2023 and certainly learn from their mistakes. Wins and losses are part and parcel of the game.



"And I'm sure that the sun will come up tomorrow morning. We'll learn from it. We'll reflect. And we'll move on, as will everyone else. I mean, that's what you do as a sportsman. You have some great highs in sports, and you have some lows in sports. And you keep moving on. You don't stop. Because if you don't put yourself on the line, you don't put yourself in games like these, you don't experience the great highs. And neither do you experience the great lows. And if you don't do that, you don't learn," said Dravid.



"That's sport, it happens. It can happen and the better team wins on the day. And I'm sure the sun will come up tomorrow morning. We'll learn from it, we'll reflect. And we'll move on. As will everyone else. That's what we do as sportsmen. In the opening encounter of the series, the Mighty Aussies secured a comfortable victory by an inning and 242 runs and this win helped them to take an unassailable lead of 1-0 in the two-match series. In such a situation, the Dhananjaya de Silva-led Sri Lanka would be looking to make a strong comeback by rectifying their mistakes in the second match.

It's now looking very difficult for Bumrah to participate in the forthcoming edition of the Champions Trophy. A report came out about the pacer on Monday that the 31-year-old has visited the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore and his fitness test will be conducted there. He will continue to remain under the supervision of the NCA Medical Team for now. 
TOI had stated in one of their news reports that the Mumbai Indians pacer will be under the observation of the NCA medical experts for a duration of 2-3 days. Once a complete assessment is conducted, only then the final report will be sent to the Ajit Agarkar-led Selection Committee.
<h2>Team India have just a single week available to make a call</h2>
The Indian team management now just has a single week left to decide whether or not to retain the place of Bumrah in the squad for the Champions Trophy. According to the rules of the ICC, all the participating teams have time till the 12th of February to make any last minute changes in their squad. In such a situation, the Men in Blue have just a week left to take a final call on Bumrah.
