CSK IPL 2024: Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings, the Yellow Brigade, and the Five-Time Champions all left their imprints on IPL 2023. That last over, those final two balls, a six and a four of those last two balls, and CSK lifting the title while MS Dhoni had tears in his eyes: those scenes haven’t left fans’ eyes since then.
The five times IPL champions won their first tournament in 2010. Nothing much changed next year and CSK lift the trophy in 2011 as well. The return of CSK was also dramatic as after suffering a two-year suspension, Chennai Super Kings came back in 2018 and lift the title again. Another trophy in 2021, followed by the worst season for Super Kings in history when in 2022, they ended in 9th position. But, as MS Dhoni said after the 2022 setback, “We will come back stronger,” so they did; CSK won the title for the fifth time in 2023.
Dhoni has the art to pull out every ounce of potential and expertise of a player and make him worth it to play in the first 11. Chennai have a perfect squad and there isn’t much really to change or swap. The batting looks good, they have quality all-rounders, and not any big names there but a classy and effective bowling unit after the addition of Matheesha Pathirana.

Chennai Super Kings Key Players For IPL 2024
1- MS Dhoni- Dhoni as a captain, Dhoni as a wicketkeeper, and Dhoni as a finisher! He is the best in all these situations.
2- Ravindra Jadeja- Left-arm finger spin and a mature finisher who understands the situation and can take you out as a champion by smashing 10 runs off the last 2 balls.
3- Ruturaj Gaikwad– An Indian opener with that level of caliber, who can dismantle the opposition team’s morale right from the start of the batting.
4- Matheesha Pathirana– The only problem CSK had in the last season was a weak death over bowling but how beautifully has Matheesha Pathirana handled it!
5- Shivam Dube- One of the most explosive batters this season, and many believe that his best is yet to come. He strengthens the top of the middle order and carries on the momentum in the middle overs.
These five are the key players of Super Kings for IPL 2024. These are the players around which Chennai management will try to build their team and will be looking forward to put the 6th title under their belt.
