There are now just five days until the 16th IPL season kicks off. At 7:30 p.m. on Friday, the inaugural game of this season will take place in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium between the four-time champion Chennai Super Kings and the reigning champion Gujarat Titans.

In the last season of 2022, the performance of the Chennai team was nothing special. The team had won only 4 out of 14 matches while facing defeat in 10 matches, resulting in the team being second from the bottom in the points table. But this year the franchise has strengthened the team by buying England all-rounder Ben Stokes from the mini-auction.

Chennai Super King is looking strong this season and also seems to be a strong contender to win the trophy. In such a situation, in today’s article, all of you will read about those two players of Chennai from whom Gujarat Titans will have to be careful.

1. Ravindra Jadeja

Even though Ravindra Jadeja’s last season was nothing special, he scored only 116 runs in 10 matches while bowling and was able to take only five wickets, but it is wrong to judge such a player from one bad season. He does not need any introduction; he is counted on the list as one of the best all-rounders.

Ravindra Jadeja has played 210 IPL matches, in which he has scored more than 2500 runs. While bowling, he has also taken a total of 181 wickets in 210 matches. Along with bowling and batting, he also provides strength to the team in fielding. In such a situation, it will be very important for Gujarat Titan to stop him; otherwise, he can single-handedly turn the match toward Chennai.

2. Ben Stokes

In total, Stokes has participated in 43 IPL games so far. He batted in 42 innings during these games, scoring 920 runs with a strike rate of 134.5 and an average of 25.56 including two centuries and two half-centuries. His highest total in this is 107 runs. He has bowled in 37 innings and has taken 28 wickets with an economy of 8.56.

The Chennai franchise bought Ben Stokes from the mini-auction for 16.25 crores. Initially, it was reported that Stokes would not be present in some of the opening matches, but now he has joined the team, the Chennai Super Kings, and is available for all the matches. Ben Stokes’ video was shared on Twitter by CSK’s official account. You can see that Stokes is striking sixes one after the other in this video.
