Former India cricketer Suresh Raina made a massive statement about Virat Kohli after his heroics against Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He said that the batter retried too soon from the T20Is and could've easily played the T20 World Cup 2026 as well. 

Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Virat Kohli is having another magical campaign in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The right-hander has been consistently scoring runs in the league and is one of the major reasons behind the success of the team in the league. 

Virat Kohli played another magical hand in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's recent game against Rajasthan Royals. The match between the two teams took place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Thursday (24th April). 

Virat Kohli, who opened the innings for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, came up with the brutal start for his team as he was all over the Rajasthan Royals bowlers in the powerplay. The right-hander slammed sensational half-century and helped his team post a massive total on the board. 

Virat Kohli played a masterful innings of  70 runs off 42 balls. The opneing batter's innings was laced with eight boundaries and two sixes, batting with a strike rate of over 166. His knock with the bat powered Royal Challengers Bengaluru to the total of 205 runs on the board.

With Virat Kohli playing a magical hand, Suresh Raina shared his take on the same. He said that the batter is in the good rhythm and should've played in T20 World Cup 2026. He said that the batter looks in peak. Speaking on Star Sports, he said: 

"I still think that Virat Kohli retired early from T20I cricket. He could have played until 2026, based on the rhythm with which he is playing right now, and the rhythm during the 2025 Champions Trophy as well. The way he has maintained his fitness, he looks like he is at his peak still,"  

Royal Challengers Bengaluru then came up with the decent outing with the ball. They defeated the target and went on to win their first game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru by 11 runs.
