Edgbaston Pitch Report (Batting or Bowling) | ENG vs AUS Ashes 2023: On June 16th, England and Australia are going to play the first test match of Ashes 2203 at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham.

England has followed a new way of playing test Cricket under the Leadership of Ben Stokes and Head Coach Brendon McCullum; they have played 13 matches and won eleven out of them. With This new approach, England will try to dominate Australia on their home venue. Moeen Ali has been included in the playing XI, whereas James Anderson and Stuart Broad Duo will lead the Bowling Department.

Australia has good winning momentum after defeating India in WTC Final 2023 at the Kennington Oval by a massive 209 runs. Pat Cummins will be leading the Australian Side for the Ashes 2023, where Josh Hazlewood returned to the squad after a minor injury. Scott Boland and Skipper Pat Cummins will be leading the Pace Attack.

The Pitch of Edgbaston has batting-friendly wickets, and batters have an excellent track record at this ground. At the same time, The Pitch is also helpful for the fast bowlers, who could get a Swing from the Surface if the conditions are overcast; otherwise, Bowlers can get Good Bounce and Pace after Day 2. Spinners will not be effective at this ground but could get some help on Day 4 or Day 5.
