Led by Batting All-rounder Mitchell Marsh, the 2023 ODI World Cup winners got off to a fantastic start in the series, finishing out on top in the first two games.

After Travis Head’s remarkable century powered the Aussies in the opening game of the series, the tourists extended their winning run with a comfortable victory by 68 runs in the 2nd ODI at Headingley, Leeds.

While opener Matthew Short has proven to be a hit or miss so far in the One Day International series, Steven Smith’s return to his best is going to prove to be a massive-advantage for the Aussies heading to the 4th One-Day International.

Captain Mitchell Marsh will like to focus on converting his good starts to big innings, while the duo of Alex Carey and Glenn Maxwell will be looking to provide finishing touches to the Kangaroos.

Hard Hitting opener Travis Head, who was rested for the 3rd One-Day International, is anticipated to participate in the 4th ODI. Also, leg-spinner Adam Zampa could come in place of Sean Abbott, who was hit to all parts of the stadium at Chester-Le-Street.

On the other hand, opening batter Phil Salt’s poor form might prove to be a huge cause of concern for the home side. The hard-hitting batsman has found it difficult to deal with Australian ace-pacer Mitchell Starc.

Amid Salt’s poor form with the bat, the batting-heroics of the duo of Will Jacks and skipper Harry Brook came as a breath-of-fresh-air for the home-side, allowing them to stay alive in the five-match One-Day International series with a much-needed victory in the 3rd One-Day International.

All-rounder Liam Livingstone will also be anticipated to play a crucial role for the Three Lions, as he showcased his class with both bat & ball in the 3rd ODI.

ENG vs AUS 4th ODI: Pitch-Report of the Lord’s Cricket-Stadium, London

The pitch of the Lord’s Cricket-Stadium will offer balanced support to both the batters and the bowlers. While the seamers might generate some movement in the first 10 overs with the new ball, the batsmen will enjoy the bounce and pace offered by the surface.

Some turn might be generated by the spinners and they would be looking to trouble the batters in the middle phase of an inning. The toss-winning skipper should opt to bat-first.
