England's playing XI for the first test against India announced RCB star dropped

England Cricket Team has announced the playing XI for the first test against the Indian Cricket Team. The match between the two teams will get underway from the 20th of June at the Headingley in Leeds and will be part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27.

England has dropped Jacob Bethell from the team, and it comes as a massive surprise as he was expected to be there in the XI. However, he hasn't found a place in the team. The openers for the first test will be Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett, who have been doing a great job with the bat.

Jos Root will be there at four while they have named a strong middle order. Young batter Ollie Pope will be at three, while Harry Brook and skipper Ben Stokes will be there as well. The captain is expected to play a massive role with bat and ball.

Jamie Smith will be taking the keeping gloves in the first test against England. The keeper-batter has been in the red-hot form and would want to carry on that. Chris Woakes will be there as a lead bowler and will also play a crucial role with the bat.

Apart from Chris Woakes, Brydon Carse and Josh Tongue will be there. Shoaib Bashir will be the spinner in the side.
