FIFA Men’s World Cup 2022 Schedule, Fixture, Venue, Date, Teams, Time – All you need to know: The 22nd edition of the FIFA Men’s World Cup is just a few months away and the preparations for the biggest Football tournament are underway. Qatar has the hosting rights for this edition’s FIFA World Cup and the games will be staged across eight different venues.

As many as 32 teams have booked their ticket for the FIFA Men’s World Cup 2022 with Costa Rica being the last team to enter the top 32. Costa Rica edged New Zealand by 1-0 in the quarter-final and confirmed their berth in the top 32.

While Costa Rica became the last team to qualify for the World Cup 2022, Qatar, being the host, was the first team to get the playing ticket. Meanwhile, France are the defending champions of the tournament, having won the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia. 

Notably, this is the first time that the FIFA Men’s World Cup is being staged in the Middle East (Qatar). Moreover, the 2022 edition’s FIFA World Cup is the last event to feature 32 teams. As many as 48 teams will compete in the next edition of the World Cup (2026).

The FIFA World Cup 2022 will be a 64-match tournament that will be played over a 28-day period.

The 22nd season of the Fifa World Cup 2022 will begin on November 21, 2022, in Qatar while the final will be held on December 18. The elite tournament will be held over a 28-day period in Qatar’s eight different venues.

Eight separate venues will be used to organise 64 fixtures of the Men’s FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. The tournament opener will be staged at the Al Bayt Stadium while the final is slated to be held at Lusail Stadium.

Teams in FIFA World Cup 2022:

The FIFA Men’s World Cup 2022 will see 32 teams fighting to get the coveted title. Qatar was the first team to get qualified (being the host of the tournament) while Costa Rica was the 32nd team to get its ticket for Qatar World Cup after beating New Zealand.

FIFA Men’s World Cup 2022 Groups:

Netherlands and Senegal in Group A will lock horns as they kickstart the 22nd edition of the FIFA Men’s World Cup on November 21. England will be up against Iran in the Group B match while Qatar will face Ecuador in Group A.

Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, the Netherlands.

Group C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland.
