The FIFA World Cup 2022 will come to an end on Sunday. The tournament has been one hell of a ride. Every game has been a treat to watch. We have seen many amazing players in this tournament. But the game of football is about the youth, about the young players. This World Cup has also provided us with a younger pool of players. Here is a look at the list of the five players who can win the “Young Player of the Tournament” award:
Aurelien Tchouameni can win “Young Player of the Tournament at the FIFA World Cup 2022:
Tchouameni can certainly win the prestigious award. He has effectively replaced the likes of Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante in the French team. With that being said, the 2000-born, 22-year-old doesn’t have much international experience. But his skills with the ball are too good. He is just too hot to handle for the opposition in the mid-field and he made many crucial interceptions throughout the tournament.
Josko Gvardiol can win “Young Player of the Tournament at the FIFA World Cup 2022:
Josko Gvardiol can win “Young Player of the tournament” too. Gvardiol has played exceptional football throughout the tournament. Josko was having a splendid tournament before Lionel Messi broke his wall-like defense. His block against Belgium was the one that helped to take the Croatians through to the playoffs. He has a good vision and is great with aerial duels.
Bukayo Saka:
Bukayo Saka scored like a freak for England. He was unstoppable in the group stage. He was raiding the opposition defense and harassing the defenders. His runs were very precise and made sure that his teammates get a lot of space with the ball. He has 3 goals to his name in this tournament. The 2001-born player is one of the top contenders for the “Young Player of the Tournament” award at the FIFA World Cup 2022.
Enzo Fernandez can win “Young Player of the Tournament at the FIFA World Cup 2022:
Enzo Fernandez is one of the top choices for winning the award. Enzo plays as a central midfielder for the Argentines. His team is in the final and this makes his case even stronger. He plays for Benfica at the club level. His pace and agility are two of his top assets. What sets him apart is his ability to pass the “through-balls”. He scored one crucial goal against Mexico.
Goncalo Ramos:
Goncalo Ramos came on in one game and scored an all-important hat trick. This was one of the most impactful performances in the FIFA World Cup 2022. What may surprise the football community is the fact that he replaced Cristiano Ronaldo in that game. Goncalo, the 20-year-old plays for Benfica. He will be in demand in this January transfer window.
