The FIFA World Cup 2022 will begin on the 20th of this month. The first game will be that of Qatar, the hosting nation, taking on Ecuador. This FIFA World Cup also happens to be the last World Cup for many football legends. These are players who have graced the game with their performances over the years. These players might not be in their prime today, but during their time, they made the world dance to their footballing skills. Lionel Messi has officially announced that the FIFA World Cup 2022 will be his last appearance at the multi-national tournament. Lionel Messi is one of the greatest players of all time if not the greatest. He is aged 35 and still has the energy of a 19-year-old. He is quick, swift, and supremely agile. The Argentine squad will be entering the FIFA World Cup as favorites and will be keen to get hold of the trophy for Lionel Messi.
