CSK have done immensely well during the entire IPL 2021 season. They outperformed all the teams and gained a healthy lead right from the start. Their players have shown responsibility and are coming all guns blazing.
On the other side, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) endured a poor outing during IPL 2021’s India leg, however, they changed their fortunes with the change in the venue. The second leg turned out to be fruitful for the franchise as they managed to confirm their playoff seat with a back to back wins and are now in the final of the tournament.
Though the franchise underwent an unpardonable debacle in its last match, the players will be raring to go against CSK in the final. They have won four matches on the trot and are looking to make it five.
If Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeat Kolkata in the final tonight, the franchise will fetch its fourth IPL title while if KKR manages to topple CSK, it will equal CSK’s tally of three IPL titles.
Defending Champions Mumbai Indians (MI) have the highest number of IPL titles. The franchise has as many as five IPL titles with its back to back tournament wins in 2019 and 2020.

We are a little fortunate that the final is not scheduled in Sharjah Cricket Stadium which owes everything to the bowlers. The Dubai International Stadium, though, aids bowlers, it has a little bit for the batters as well. The last two matches in this very ground went around 160-170 runs which shows that there could be a good run chase.
Given the intensity of the final, the teams would love to capitalise on the aid provided by the surface. The surface, to some extent, may turn down the fans, who will be looking to have a cracker of a night, however, there will be a good contest on offer. Fans can still expect some fireworks from the batters from both sides.
