Following the guidelines by the BCCI, big Indian players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul and others are all set to take the field for their respective state teams in the upcoming two rounds of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25.
Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja and Shubman Gill will be back in action during the second round of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25, which will begin on 23rd January. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul will be playing for Delhi and Bengaluru, respectively, in the third round of the tournament, which will begin on 30th January.

When did Virat Kohli last play in the Ranji Trophy?
Virat Kohli's last appearance in the Ranji Trophy came in November 2012 for Delhi against Uttar Pradesh in Ghaziabad. The batter didn't have a great outing with the bat as he scored 14 & 43 in two innings of a match. This didn't help Delhi's cause as they went on to lose the game by by six wickets.
When did RIshabh Pant last play in the Ranji Trophy?
Rishabh Pant, who will be playing for Delhi in the upcoming match, last played for Delhi in the 2017/18 season's final. He was a leader of the team in that game and had a decent outing with the bat. He scored 21 & 32 in that game, but that wasn't enough as Delhi went on to lose the game by nine wickets.
When did Rohit Sharma last play in the Ranji Trophy?
Rohit Sharma featured last time in the Ranji Trophy for Mumbai against Uttar Pradesh in November 2015. He played a magnificent innings for his team as he slammed a magnificent 113-run knock at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. His innings helped the team draw the game.
When did Shubman Gill last play in the Ranji Trophy?
Shubman Gill has been a regular feature in the Ranji Trophy. He last played for Punjab in the quarterfinals against Madhya Pradesh in 2022. The batter didn't have a great outing with the bat as he managed scores of 9 & 19 as MP beat Punjab by 10 wickets. He will be seen in action on 23rd January at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
