Vivo IPL 2021: In what comes as good news for the IPL fans, English Players are likely to take part in the second phase of the Vivo IPL 2021. The bricks are now falling in their desired place in a systematic manner to have smooth conduct of the cash-rich Indian Premier League.

The reports confirm that the England tour of Bangladesh, which was apparently clashing with the fixtures of the rescheduled IPL 2021, is now postponed. The short limited-overs tour, which was slated to be held in September, will now be completed next year.

The likes of Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Eoin Morgan, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone and others will join their respective IPL franchise as soon as the India vs England test series gets wrapped. 

It is noteworthy that the operations of the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) were halted midway after the covid cases started rising in the franchise camps. The BCCI announced the suspension of the tournament with immediate effect on March 3. Now the remaining 31 games of the Vivo IPL 2021 are staged in the UAE, starting September 19.

“Yes, we were in talks with the ECB about the availability of their players for the IPL. We haven’t yet got the official confirmation with regards to that but we have a clear idea that chances are really bright,” said a senior BCCI official.

The English Players, if gets a green signal to play IPL, will travel in the same charter flight in which Indian players will be travelling after the completion of the India vs England five matches test series on September 14. A bubble to bubble transfer will be made in order to save the quarantine time of the players.

The availability of all-rounder Ben Stokes is uncertain as he has taken an indefinite break from international cricket for his mental wellbeing.
