Similar to Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans (GT) will also be with their new captain this season. Young batter Shubman Gill has been raised to the helm and it remains to be seen how he performs with the added leadership responsibilities.
GT finished atop the IPL 2023 points table at the end of the league stage. They were, arguably, the team to beat in the season. However, as fate had written, GT couldn’t cross the final obstacle and lost to CSK in the IPL 2023 final.

Mumbai Indians, too, have a couple of injury blows. Jason Behrendorff and Dilshan Madushanka have been ruled out of the Tata IPL 2024 due to their respective injuries.
