GT Won, PBKS-RCB Qualified! Check Latest Updated Points Table After DC vs GT IPL 2025!
In a high-voltage clash at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, Gujarat Titans stamped their authority yet again with a dominant 10-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals in the 60th match of the TATA IPL 2025.
Chasing a daunting 200-run target, GT made the task look like a leisurely evening stroll, further cementing their spot at the top of the points table and ensuring playoff berths for both Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings as well.
The contest began with Delhi Capitals opting to bat first, and despite a shaky start, they posted a challenging 199/3 on the board. Faf du Plessis failed to get going, falling cheaply to Arshad Khan after consuming a few dot balls. However, the tide turned when KL Rahul anchored the innings masterfully.
After a cautious start, he unleashed a flurry of exquisite strokes, bringing up his fifth IPL century, an unbeaten 112 off 65 balls, the highest score ever against Gujarat Titans. He received timely support from Axar Patel and a late blitz by Tristan Stubbs to give Delhi momentum heading into the second half.
Yet, what followed was an absolute annihilation by the Gujarat Titans. Their openers—Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan—treated the Delhi bowlers with no mercy. Sudharsan’s early aggression allowed Gill the luxury of building his innings, which he later accelerated with authority.
Both batters remained unbeaten, with Sudharsan slamming his second IPL ton. In a show of complete dominance, GT chased down the target without losing a wicket and with several balls to spare—an extraordinary feat that left fans stunned and DC completely outplayed.
With this emphatic win, Gujarat Titans not only reaffirmed their supremacy this season but also knocked Delhi Capitals out of the top four temporarily. More significantly, the result officially secured playoff spots for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings, both tied at 17 points with a superior Net Run Rate compared to Delhi.
The race for the final playoff spot now narrows dramatically, with Mumbai Indians and DC still in contention. LSG are not out but they not qualify practically.
