Gujarat Titans Punched Down Desperate Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs!

GT vs SRH: In a high-stakes clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the Gujarat Titans delivered a commanding performance to overpower the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs in the TATA IPL 2025.

GT vs SRH Match Summary

At the home of Gujarat, Hyderabad won the flip of the coin and asked the home team to bat first. Gujarat happily welcomed the decision and posted 82 runs inside the powerplay. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan were exceptional with the bat. 

Zeeshan Ansari got the first wicket in the 7th over, but that brought Jos Buttler to the crease. Gill and Buttler put up another 60-run partnership. Washington Sunder also played a decent cameo with Jos Buttler and pushed the team's total past 200. 

With 225 to chase, SRH had a fiery start as Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma got going from the first ball. They posted around 80 runs in the first 9 overs and needed 140 runs from the last 10 overs. Abhishek Sharma was still there and posted a quick 74 in 41 balls before mishitting a short of length ball by Ishant Sharma. 

Prasidh Krishna bowled exceptionally well in the defence of 225. He bowled four overs, took two wickets, and leaked just 19 runs. The middle order of SRH had no answers against the tight and disciplined bowling attack of the Gujarat Titans.

Nitish Kumar Reddy and Pat Cummins played aggressively in the last couple of overs, but only to reduce the defeat margin. GT defeated SRH by 38 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

With this important win, Gujarat Titans now have 14 points and they are at the second spot in the TATA IPL 2025 Points Table.
