Hardik Pandya using illegal bat in IPL? Umpires stop him from cheating

Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya finally had a win under his belt as a skipper in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The five-time champions beat Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley International Cricket Stadium in Delhi on Sunday (13th April).

Hardik Pandya, who was under pressure for his leadership in the IPL, along with his team delivered a magnificent performance against Delhi Capitals. The Mumbai Indians beat the opposition by 12 runs as they snatched the victory from the jaws of defeat to win their second match.

Hardik Pandya didn't have a great outing with the bat and ball in the match. But he made sure that he marshalled his troops well. The all-rounder first walked out to bat and didn't make the kind of impact he would've wanted in the league.

Hardik Pandya managed just 2 runs with the bat but what caught the attention of many was when he came out to bat. As he was walking near the pitch, the umpire stopped and checked on him to see if his bat was of the proper size or not. The video went viral on the internet, raising many speculations.

Here's the video:

Hardik Pandya had a poor outing with the ball as well. The Mumbai Indians skipper two overs in the game and gave away 21 runs. However, thankfully, it didn't cost the team as other bowlers contributed well to take their team to the impressive win in Delhi.
