In what has been the latest development, as per the reports in Geo News, it is learned that Virat Kohli has suffered a huge injury ahead of the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The summit clash is all set to take place between India and New Zealand on Sunday (9th March) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. 

On Friday (7th March), India underwent training at the ICC Academy in Dubai to get in the groove for the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. During the batting session, Virat Kohli was at the receiving end of the blow and it raised a lot of eyebrows. 

As per the reports, Virat Kohli was batting against the fast bowler in the nets when one of the deliveries went on to hit him in the keen region. The batter looked in immense pain and was forced to stop batting as the physios turned his attention towards him, with him not looking in great shape. 

Virat Kohli stopped batting after getting hit 

The reports claimed that physios were seen using magic spray on his keen region and, after that, tied bandages on the injured area. He, then, was forced not to bat as he looked in pain, but despite that, he was seen watching the rest of the players in the net session. 

Virat Kohli, after some time, looked pain free, and in what was a big relief for the team, one of the Indian team members revealed that the batter iswasit and fine. He confirmed that the injury wasn't that serious and he will be playing the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. 

Virat Kohli has been one of the best batters in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He has slammed 217 runs at an average of over 70 in the four games that he has played and is the leading run-getter for India in the tournament, slamming one century and one fifty. 

His form will be key for India in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The team management would be hoping that he would bring his best with the bat and take his team to the glory in the second consecutive ICC event.
