“I Don’t Regret Anything,” Said Harmanpreet Kaur on Dhaka Umpiring Controversy: Indian Team Captain has been surrounded around some controversies in recent times and also got a two-match ban penalty due to her behavior. In her recent interview, she told The Cricket Paper that she has no regrets about anything.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur was involved in some heated arguments with umpires in the third and final ODI against Bangladesh. The match ended in a tie as the controversial ODI series ended in a draw.

Her anger burst out when she batted the ball but still was given out LBW and she broke stumps and spoke a few words to the umpire on her way back to the pavilion. In the post-match presentation, Harmanpreet Kaur expressed her dissatisfaction with the third ODI’s umpiring standards.

For their inappropriate umpiring throughout the game, she singled out on-field officials Tanvir Ahmed and Muhammad Kamruzzman. In the post-match presentation, Harmanpreet Kaur publicly voiced her displeasure with the umpiring standards.

I mentioned earlier some pathetic umpiring was done we are really disappointed about some decisions given by the umpires,” Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur. 

Despite receiving a two-match suspension from the ICC for her conduct, Harmanpreet Kaur has stated that she has no regrets about speaking up against the subpar umpiring in the final series.

She has finally spoken up about the event and stated that she does not regret what she did or her comments made in the wake of it.

“I will not say that I regret anything because at the end of the day as a player you want to see that fair things are happening. As a player, you always have the right to express yourself and what you’re feeling,” she told The Cricket Paper.

“I don’t think I said anything wrong to any player or any person. I just said what happened on the field. I don’t regret anything,” she added.

In addition to the match suspension, Harmanpreet received three demerit points for “showing dissent at an umpiring decision” and a further one for “public criticism” of match officials.
