ICC announced latest test rankings, Virat Kohli climbs up, Steve Smith rose to number 1.

ICC Test Rankings: In the latest announced Test Rankings by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Indian skipper Virat Kohli climbs up to fourth place while Australian batsman Steve Smith reclaimed his first position.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson lost his top place to Steve Smith after his successive failures in England in the recently concluded two games Test series, which was won by New Zealand by 1-0.

Both Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson will lead their respective sides in the ICC World Test Championship final which is mere two nights away.

Reclaiming his position, Steve Smith collected 891 rating points while Kane Williamson has 886 rating points in the recently announced rankings.

The third place is held firmly by another Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne with  878 rating points.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli left behind the likes of Joe Root and is at fourth spot with 814 points.

Joe Root had a drastic and forgetful series against New Zealand. He managed to score mere 97 runs in the four innings and lost a couple of rating points. He is at number 5 with 797 points.

The sixth spot is jointly held by Indian cricketers Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma with 747 points.

The rest of the table remained undisturbed as Henry Nicholls, David Warner and Babar Azam retained their eighth, ninth and tenth place respectively.

Bowlers and All rounder’s ranking remained untouched:

The latest bowler’s ranking is also untouched with Pat Cummins (908) leading the chart followed by Ravichandran Ashwin (850), Tim Southee (830), Josh Hazlewood (816) and Neil Wagner (815).

The All-rounders chart also remained still, led by Jason Holder (412) followed by Ravindra Jadeja (386) and Ben Stokes (377).
