ICC Champions Trophy 2025: BCCI STRICTLY tells players to not take families to Dubai
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken a massive call ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. As per the reports in PTI, it is learned that families of the players won't be allowed to travel to Dubai for the eight-nation tournament, which will begin on 19th February.
This comes after the BCCI recently introduced the guidelines for the players and one of the SOPs was regarding family, which suggested that families will be allowed only for two weeks on a 45-day long tour. So ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be ending in 20 days, so no family member will be allowed.

The players are unlikely to be accompanied by their wives or partners for this tour - BCCI source
The source close to BCCI confirmed the development and revealed that one senior player of the team enquired about the same. But the governing body categorically said that policy will be followed. He also added that if any player wants to bring his family along, then BCCI won't be bearing any expenses. Speaking to PTI, he said:
"If anything changes then it is different, but as of now, the players are unlikely to be accompanied by their wives or partners for this tour. One of the senior players had enquired about it and he was told that the policy decision will be followed," a senior BCCI source told PTI on condition of anonymity.
"Since the tour is of less than one month, families won't be accompanying the players. But if exceptions are made, I think that individual will have to bear the full expenses as the BCCI won't be covering any cost."
India is scheduled to travel to Dubai on 15th February and will be opening their campaign in their account in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against Bangladesh on 20th February. Their next match will be against Pakistan on 23rd February before taking on New Zealand on 2nd March.
