INDIA vs BANGLADESH Match Summary
Bangladesh Innings- 228/10 (49.4 overs)
Bangladesh’s innings was a tale of two halves. Bangladesh had a nightmare start, collapsing to 35/5 in just 8.3 overs as Shami and Harshit Rana tore through the top order. Axar Patel added to the damage, taking two wickets in two balls, but a dropped catch by Rohit Sharma on the slip denied him a hat-trick.

Shami was at his best, troubling the left-handers, while Harshit chipped in with key breakthroughs. At that stage, it looked like Bangladesh would struggle to even reach 100. However, Towhid Hridoy and Jaker Ali staged a brilliant 154-run fightback, frustrating India's bowlers. There were a couple of missed fields and dropped catches that fined them heavily.
Hridoy battled cramps but still managed his maiden ODI century, while Jaker’s steady 68 helped push Bangladesh to 228. Shami returned to complete his five-wicket haul, while Harshit ended with three. Though the total wasn’t huge, Bangladesh had something to bowl at.
INDIA innings- 231/4 (46.3 overs)
India started the Innings with a cautious approach as Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill set themselves up in the middle. They had a good mix of aggression and sensible cricketing shots that led them to a dominating position towards the end of the batting powerplay before Rohit Sharma lost his wicket just in the second last ball of the 10th over. India had 69 runs in the batting powerplay, thanks to the 41-run anchor innings by skipper Sharma.
Virat Kohli seemed searching ball at the start of his innings but looked good. He was doing good in rotating strike but another leg-spinner came and got Virat. Mustafizur also struck and got the toe end off Iyer's bat to the mid-off. Axar Patel tried to play quick but Rishad Hossain got him shut.
Shubman Gill held on to one end and then got good support from KL Rahul at the other end. KL Rahul played some big shots that eased the pressure off Gill and Shubman put up a ton, his 8th in ODIs. Together they led India to the first win of the tournament with a SIX. INDIA defeated Bangladesh by 6 wickets.
