ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Venues: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has now clicked its top gear to complete the final preparations for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. With less than 5 months left in the marquee event, the Indian cricket board is leaving no stone unturned in making the event a superhit.
This is India’s first time to host a 50-over ICC Cricket World Cup entirely on its own. Notably, the 2011 World Cup was held in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh combined. However, the onus of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is completely on India’s and BCCI’s shoulders.
While the schedule and fixtures of the all-important event are still awaited, the reports suggest that BCCI has shortlisted 16 venues across India to host the 48-match tournament.
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Venues include – Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Raipur, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Delhi, Indore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pune, Rajkot, and Trivandrum. Down below is the list of stadiums in these shortlisted venues.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Schedule
Reportedly, the schedule for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is expected to be released during the ICC World Test Championship 2023 Final, which will be held between India and Australia at the Oval in London. The ICC WTC Final will begin on June 7.
“The venues for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be decided at a press conference during the ICC World Test Championship Final. The complete schedule for the tournament will also be revealed,” Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary said.
“As far as the venues for the ICC Cricket World Cup are concerned, each office-bearer will be responsible for each venue. We are looking at all the metros as venues for the tournament,” he added.
