ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday, August 23, confirmed the schedule for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Warm-Up matches, which will be held in India, a week prior to the beginning of the tournament on October 5.
As per the official warm-up schedule released by the ICC, every participating team will play two official practice matches which will be scheduled across three Indian cities. The warm-up matches will be held from 29th September to 3rd October in Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad.
Hosts, India are set to lock horns against reigning champions England and the Netherlands in the warm-up fixtures scheduled on 30th September and 3rd October respectively.
To mark the outset of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Warm-up fixtures, Bangladesh will square off against Sri Lanka in Guwahati on September 29. The same day, South Africa will take on Afghanistan in Thiruvananthapuram while New Zealand will be up against Pakistan in Hyderabad.
All the fixtures of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Warm-up will begin at 2 PM IST and the teams will be allowed to field all of their 15-members from the squad.
