ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings: The International Cricket Council has just released the updated Team Rankings of T20I after the Australia vs West Indies T20I series and the home team have made significant gains in the updated standings. India are still at the top of the table and here we are with the latest ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings Updated after the AUS vs WI T20I series.

West Indies tour of Australia 2024 has just concluded. West Indies successfully tied the Test series with a historic win in Gabba. Australia then whitewashed West Indies 3-0 in the ODI series with ease. The home team also won the T20I series but West Indies denied the clean sweep and won the last T20I.
The host Australia were already the favorites for the series but you can never sideline the opponents when the rival team is West Indies. Australia won the first T20I by 11 runs. West Indies were in the game when they were 3 wickets down for 141 runs in 14 overs in the chase of 202 but they lost four quick wickets for just 18 runs therefore lost the momentum and ended up losing the game by 11 runs.
The second T20I saw the vintage Maxwell show where the home team posted a mammoth total of 241 runs and bowlers made sure the visitors would not be left with any chance of winning the game. Australia won the game by 34 runs and sealed the series.
West Indies batted first in the third T20I for the first time in the series. Despite a poor start, West Indies posted a huge total of 220, riding over stormy innings of Dre Rus and Sherfane Rutherford. Despite excellent innings from Warner and Tim David Australia could only manage to reach 183 runs and lost the game by 37 runs.
With this series victory, Australia have made gains in the rating points. They had 250 ratings before the series and now they have 252 rating points. Australia are still in the fourth position in the T20I Team rankings. While West Indies are still seventh in the updated standings.
India are the number one T20I team in the latest updated T20I Team Rankings. In 71 matches of this cycle, India accumulated as many as 266 rating points. Following them are New Zealand and they are exactly 10 ratings behind India.
England are in the third spot with 256 points which is equal to that of New Zealand. Pakistan are fifth on the list with 249 ratings. Sri Lanka hold the 8th spot after 41 matches as they have 234 ratings. Bangladesh and Afghanistan are ranked 9th and 10th respectively.
