ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings [Rank 1 to 10] Ahead of India vs Afghanistan T20I Series 2024 | ICC T20 Team Standings: India and Afghanistan are going to play a three-match T20I series, which is scheduled to start from January 11 to January 17, 2024. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli return to the T20I team After the ICC T20I World Cup 2022. Currently, India is at the top position in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings.
Indian Team consistently maintained the top position in the ICC T20 Team Rankings, however, key players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were not in the team. Previously, Suryakumar Yadav was leading the Indian Team in T20I cricket in the absence of Rohit Sharma but now, Rohit Sharma will be the captain of the Indian Team in the T20I series against Afghanistan.
The Defending Champions, England is present at second position with a rating of 256 and 12,305 points in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings. Indian Team have a rating of 265 which is far better than England and now, they will be playing three more T20I games, which will increase their rating more.
New Zealand has occupied the third position in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings with a rating of 254 and 13,988 points whereas Pakistan is in fourth position with a rating of 251 and 13,325 points. Pakistan will be playing a five-match T20I series against New Zealand hence both teams have a great opportunity to improve their position.
The ODI World Cup 2023 Winner, Australia is in fifth position in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings with a rating of 250 and 9,760 points which is pretty much good but they didn’t perform well in the T20 Internationals in the last year. South Africa, who will be hosting T20I World Cup 2024 is in sixth position in the ICC T20 Team Standings with a rating of 249.
