India vs Australia ODI series was the last ODI event played in the ICC schedule before World Cup 2023. That IND vs AUS series saw the brilliance of Shubman Gill who closes on to the Number 1 ODI ranked batsman Babar Azam who has been the top ODI batter for the last 900+ days. Babar secured the number 1 spot with 857 rating points while Shubman sits second with 839 points (18 less than Babar Azam).

Virat Kohli(9) and Rohit Sharma(10) are the other two batters from Bharat(India) in the top 10. David Warner stepped up a rank (replacing Imam-ul-Haq) and now sits on joint-fourth rank with Harry Tector with 729 points.

Moving to the bowler’s ranking, India’s Mohammad is the Number 1 bowler in ICC ODI Player Rankings with 669 rating points. He shares the spot with the Australian veteran Josh Hazelwood. Kuldeep Yadav lost his spot in the top 10 to Mohammad Nabi who is now 10th ranked ODI bowler.

Interestingly, three Afghan spinners, i.e., Mujeeb(3), Rashid (4), and Nabi(10) have made it to the top 10 in the ICC ODI Player Rankings. There are just two Indian bowlers (Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav) in the top 25 ODI bowlers.

Now, Shakib-al-Hasan has successfully maintained his number 1 spot in the ICC ODI Player Rankings of All-rounders. Notably, Hardik Pandya (7) is the only Indian allrounder in the list of top 20 ODI allrounders and he is the only fast bowling allrounder in the Top 10.
