ICC ODI Team Ranking Updated After Pakistan vs Afghanistan 2nd ODI 2023, Pakistan need one win to become No.1 ODI Team: The ICC released the latest Updated ICC ODI Team ranking, and Pakistan is currently sitting in top spot with an equal rating as to Australia, who is ranked No.2 in the ICC Men’s ODI team ranking.
They have a chance to move to the top of the rankings if they win the 3rd ODI match against Afghanistan, and this will be a huge achievement for Pakistan to get ranked No.1 In the ICC ODI team ranking before the World Cup 2023.
Pakistan have been in excellent form in ODI cricket in recent years. They have won 13 matches of their last 16 games, and they have a strong batting line-up led by Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, whereas Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf leads the Bowling Department.
Pakistan is currently in first place with 118 ratings, whereas Australia has the same rating of 118 and has a few more points than Pakistan. That’s why they occupied the first spot, but Pakistan has claimed the top spot after winning the third ODI match against Afghanistan.
India is in third place with a rating of 113, but they have played more matches than the above two teams but are still behind because they need to win consistently to move up in the ICC ODI team rankings.
If Pakistan can win their series against Afghanistan, then they will become the No.1 ODI team in the world for the first time since 2016. Pakistan is in good momentum before two important tournaments (Asia Cup 2023 and World Cup 2023), giving them an upper hand over others.
