India created history in the 2023 World Cup by becoming the first team to win all nine games in the round-robin format with this 160-run triumph over the Netherlands. No team had ever won nine straight ODI World Cup matches before the Indian team, with Australia (2003) and Sri Lanka (1996) coming the closest at eight when the tournament could be won in as few as nine games.
India is currently bossing the ODI Cricket. They won the Asia Cup 2023 with dominance and continued that momentum in the World Cup 2023 with still undefeated record. India defeated Netherlands last night by a healthy margin of 160 runs.
India won the toss and opted to bat first. Rohit and Gill provided a firey start and both fell just after their fifties. Kohli also scored a 50 but got out soon. Shreyas and KL Rahul then picked up the pace of their innings. Both scored blistering centuries and added 200 runs in the last 20 overs. India posted a mammoth 410-run score on the board.
India got an early breakthrough and then never led the Dutch to settle down. It was more kind of a talent show where only Wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer didn’t bowl from India. Skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also shared 1-1 wickets. Only Shubman Gill, Shami, and Surya Kumar Yadav left wicketless and India easily won the match by 160 runs.
