ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Players with Most Runs and Most Wickets (3 Nov) So Far in World Cup 2023| Player Rankings 1 – 10

(3 November) ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Players with Most Runs and Most Wickets: India is now the first team to officially qualify for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 Semifinals riding over an easy win against Sri Lanka by a ridiculous 302-run margin. Just 16 days remaining until the final, and the group stage is heading to its final segment with just 12 matches remaining out of 45. Here we are back with the list of Players with Most Runs and Most Wickets So Far in World Cup 2023.

World Cup 2023 has been full of one-sided contests right from the beginning of the tournament. Out of 33 matches, it was only in 2 instances when the match got exciting and the rest of the matches looked mismatched. India have won all of their matches with a healthy margin that has resulted in their strike rate notching up over +2 now after seven matches.

50-run all out in the Asia Cup Final and 55-run all out in the World Cup 2023 match, two back-to-back innings of Sri Lanka against India. Indian bowlers, especially Siraj, are just making fun of those Sri Lankan batters. These two innings are going to haunt Sri Lanka for a very long now.

Sri Lanka won the toss and surprisingly opted to bowl first on the Wankhede pitch. India welcomed the decision with both hands and despite losing Rohit in the 2nd ball of the match, Virat and Gill posted a 180-run stand for the second wicket. Gill missed his century by just 8 runs while Virat missed it by 12 runs and both fell to Dilshan Madushanka. Remember Gill was just 2 rating points away from dethroning Babar’s 900+ days ODI Number 1 player streak.

Rahul and Surya went back for cheap after getting a good start. Shreyas Iyer and Jadeja then kept the run rate going up and only up. Shreyas Iyer notched up his 82 in just 56 balls and Jadeja added 35 in just 24 balls to lead India to a commanding total of 357 at the loss of 8 wickets. Dilshan Madhushanka was excellent and he grabbed a fifer against India.

Jasprit Bumrah got the new ball and drew the first blood in the very first ball of the innings. Siraj from the other end scalped another wicket in the first ball of his over and got two in that over. Another wicket for Siraj in his next over and this time he took the off-stump flying off skipper Kushal Mendis. Sir Lanka lost 4 wickets for just 3 runs and out of those 3, two were wides.

What a display of discipline and patience Dilshan Madhushanka showed last night. He dismissed the top players of World Cricket last night like Virat, Rohit, and Gill. He has 18 wickets under his belt and is the player with the most wickets in the tournament now.

Shaheen Afridi looked off-color at the start of World Cup 2023 but he got his form back just in time when the team needed him the most. He is the second-highest wicket-taker in the World Cup 2023 with 16 wickets.

Mohammad Shami has joined the race in some real aggressive manner. He has just played 3 matches and took 2 five-wicket hauls and 1 four-wicket haul. He is now ranked sixth player in most wicket tally in World Cup 2023.
