Suryakumar Yadav eyeing to top the ICC men’s T20I ranking: Star performers from India and Pakistan have made big gains in the latest update of the MRF Tires ICC Men’s Player Rankings for T20Is. Pakistan’s opener wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan tops the list, immediately followed by India’s Suryakumar Yadav. Both are in their best form. Mohammad Rizwan is often criticized for building a slow pace in his as well as the team’s innings with a strike rate of around 129, but that is not a problem with Suryakumar Yadav. He comes on the field and as soon as he comes, he breaks down on the bowlers. He can score runs around the field
Pakistan is playing a seven-match T20 series with England in which the highest scorer of the Pakistan team for the last two matches(4th T20I and 5th T20I) is Mohammad Rizwan, who has single-handedly made the team’s score respectable but he comes under the scanner for a reason that his strike rate remains in the range of 120 to 130, which is very low for the T20I format opener when you have 6 powerplay overs at the start.
Team India is currently playing a series of three T20 matches with South Africa. Just before this, India defeated Australia 2-1 in the 3 T20I match home series, in which Surya Kumar hit a scintillating half-century in the third match. In the first match against South Africa, SKY played a fiery inning and made the team victorious with a half-century.
Pakistan captain and opening batsman Babar Azam scored the second T20I century of his career in the second T20I against England, which propelled him to No. 3 in the ICC batsmen’s ranking charts. Australia captain Aaron Finch has also moved up a place to fifth place after scoring 31 runs in the second T20 International against India in Nagpur.

SURYAKUMAR YADAV’s stats
Suryakumar Yadav made his first-class debut against Delhi during the 2010–11 Ranji season. He started his career brilliantly as he scored 73 runs for Mumbai and was the only player to score a fifty in Mumbai’s first innings. Since then, he has been a regular member of the team and has scored quite well in every season. Impressed by his talent, Indian selectors named him in Team India’s home series against England, especially considering his strike rate. It was that day and ever since then, Surya has not stopped. He has made big stalwarts crazy with his style of batting.
“SKY has no limits” Suryakumar Yadav has already surpassed Shikhar Dhawan to make the record for most runs for India in a calendar year, while there are still 3 months left for the year to end, which will also have World Cup matches.
- Suryakumar Yadav 732 runs, an average of 40.66, 180.29 strike rate, 2022.
- Shikhar Dhawan 689 runs, 147.22 strike rate, 2018.
