So, ideally, Pant also stands a chance. But the team off-late is going with Axar Patel in place of Jadeja and the rest of the combination remains the same.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, The Death Bowler?
Bhuvneshwar Kumar and his skill in the death overs are under scrutiny. Not all cricket pundits are in favor of Bhuvi even bowling a single over at the death. With Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah back, Bhuvi’s services will not be required as such but even if it is for 1 over, will Bhuvi bowl at the death? He has been conceding runs the like a flowing river at the death. So, Rohit needs to manage his bowlers such that Bhuvi gets little to no overs in the final 5.
Rohit, Rahul, Kohli Who will Open at the ICC T20 World Cup 2022?
It is more than certain that India is likely to make Rohit and Rahul their opener and Kohli will bat at number 3. But there is a word around that if Rahul loses form or isn’t consistent, the team will look for other options as well. Virat Kohli in that case can walk to bat up the order. Rohit Sharma is a fixed candidate for that place but whether Rahul will continue or not, will be decided by Rahul’s performances.
