ICC T20I Player Rankings: As the ICC has updated the T20I Player Rankings after the PAK vs NZ T20I series, Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah, Tim Seifert, and many others have made significant growth in the table following a well-balanced T20I series.

Pakistan vs New Zealand was the only important series going on in the international circuit as this was a window of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Pakistan hosted Zealand for a five-match T20I series where New Zealand missed their key players and Michael Bracewell took the captaincy duty.
The first T20I was washed away by rain at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Pakistan just thrashed New Zealand in the second T20I which saw excellent bowling efforts by Shaheen, Amir, and Abrar Ahmed. Underrated New Zealand bounced back stronger and won next two contests at Rawalpindi and Lahore with significant margins.
Mark Chapman’s brilliant 82 in the second T20I and William ORourke’s magical three-wicket spell in the third T20I were the main highlights of the matches. Pakistan’s skipper was yet to fire and he did on the last T20I. The skipper’s knock followed by an unmatchable bowling spell from the former skipper Shaheen Shah saved the home team from losing a home series to a second or third-string team of New Zealand.
Following his classy 69 in the last T20I of the series, Babar Azam displaced Markram and now sits 4th in the batting rankings after the ICC have updated the T20I Player Rankings. Tim Seifert climbed 7 spots to share the 17th rank with Australia’s Travis Head. India’s Surya Kumar Yadav is still leading the T20I batting board with a significant lead.
There are no changes in the top-10 bowling rankings but Shaheen Shah is running quickly towards the top ranks. He was 19th ranked T20I bowler before the New Zealand series and just after the 4 matches, he is now the 14th-ranked T20I Bowler.
When it comes to T20I rankings, there has been the rule of Shakib al Hasan for a very long now. However, Imad Wasim has made a big 10-rank jump from 32nd rank after his inclusion in the international team.
