(31 Jan) ICC U19 World Cup 2024 Players with Most Runs and Most Wickets: Indian top-order batsman Musheer Khan is now the leading run-getter in the U19 World Cup 2024 after his stellar century in India U19 vs New Zealand U19. Saumy Pandey of India also shares equal wickets with Pakistan’s Ubaid Shah at the top of the most wickets tally. Like the senior Men’s Team, the India U19 team is cruising on the top in this U19 World Cup. They have won all the matches played and interestingly they have won the last three matches by a margin of over 200 runs. India U19 defeated Bangladesh by 84 runs, then they caught Ireland 201 runs short and won against USA U19 by 201 runs.
On 30 January, India U19 and New Zealand U19 played the first Super Six game. New Zealand U19 invited India U19 to bat first and India took full advantage of the new ball and fresh pitch. Top-order batter Musheer Khan smashed an excellent ton with a strike rate of over 100. A fifty from the opener Adarsh Singh and small contributions from the middle order helped India U19 post a par score of 295 runs.
New Zealand U19 would have thought of an explosive start but Raj Limbani had different plans. He took two wickets in the very first over of the innings. Soon, Saumy Pandey joined the party and picked up two quick wickets in back-to-back overs. Musheer Khan also collected two wickets in just three overs. Saumy Pandey bagged 4 wickets in 10 overs giving just 19 runs stole the show and bundled out New Zealand U19 under 81 runs and India U19 won the match by 214 runs.
In the second match of the day, West Indies U19 defeated Sri Lanka U19 by 3 wickets in a thriller. Sri Lanka U19 scored 231 runs in the first innings and West Indies batters gave a solid start for a solid chase. There was a pressure condition in the middle overs but Nathan Sealy comfortably led his team to victory.

The batting Tally is led by Indian batter Musheer Khan. Khan is now the most run scorer in the tournament following his exceptional 131 against New Zealand U19. He has scored 325 runs in the tournament till now after 4 matches.
Pakistani Left-handed opener Shahzaib KHAN holds the second position. He has been exceptional right from the start of the tournament. He scored an amazing hundred in the opening match of Pakistan against Afghanistan. He fell early against Ireland and now he is well 91 runs behind Musheer Khan.
Indian Skipper Uday Saharan is now in the TOP 3 of the most run scorers. Uday has scored 208 runs for India at an average of 79. Just a run behind him is West Indies’ Wicketkeeper batter Jewel Andrew. Adarsh Singh, after a remarkable 50, entered the top 10 list of Players with the most runs.
