India: The much anticipated ICC Cricket World Cup is around three months away from now. The biggest carnival in International cricket has kept everyone on their toes. The International Cricket Council (ICC) along with the Board of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) announced the official schedule of the tournament, which will take place in India for the first time since 2011. The ICC World Cup 2023 will be played from 5th October. A total of 48 matches will take place and 10 teams will fight for the title.

The Indian team will be one of the favourites heading into the tournament. They will have an added advantage as they will be playing at home. It’ll be a great opportunity for the Rohit Sharma-led side to end their ICC Trophy drought and win their first-ever title since 2013.
The Men in Blue will kick start their campaign in the high-octane clash against Australia on 8th October in Chennai. They will then shift their bases to Delhi, where they will lock horns with Afghanistan on 11th October. The Rohit Sharma-led side will be moving to Ahmedabad then to face their arch-rivals Pakistan.
The clash between the two titans will take place on 15th October and it is expected that it’ll be the biggest clash of the tournament. India will then play Bangladesh in Pune on 19th October before they will shift their bases to Dharamsala for the clash against New Zealand on 22nd October.

After that, they will be up against England on 29th October in Lucknow. Following that they will be playing against Qualifier 2 on 2nd November in Mumbai. The proteas challenges will be up for next as they’ll take them on in Kolkata on 5th November. The Men in Blue will end the league stage by playing Qualifier 1 on 11th November in Bengaluru.
