Netherlands made the history after they surpassed heavyweights like West Indies and Zimbabwe to qualify for the ICC World Cup 2023. They played exceptionally well in the qualifier stage and it won’t be a surprise if they defeat some big teams.
The Netherlands have announced their squad for the ICC World Cup 2023. The team will be captained by Scott Edwards whereas the senior duo of Roelof van der Merwe and Colin Ackermann have been recalled into the team after missing cricket in the last few months.
Apart from these three, star all-rounder Bas de Leede, who did wonders in the ICC World Cup qualifiers, will be there and premier opener Max O’Dowd also has made cut into the team. Vikramjit Singh, who will be the opener, also will be under the spotlight for his heroics of late.
The Netherlands will be having great preparation going into the ICC World Cup 2023. They will be playing three practice matches against Karnataka ahead of the tournament to get used to the conditions. After that, they will play warm up against Australia on September 30 and India on October 3. Before opening their campaign against Pakistan in Hyderabad on October 6.
