This afternoon at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Pakistani captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first. While batting, Babar Azam and Company scored 282 runs at the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs. Captain Babar Azam scored the most runs for Pakistan, he scored 74 runs in 92 balls. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 65 runs in 53 balls with the help of nine fours and one six. There was a partnership of 130 runs for the first wicket between both openers.
After the dismissal of these two, Rahmat Shah and captain Hashmatullah Shahidi remained not-out and led their team to victory. Rahmat scored 77 runs in 84 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes, while captain Shahidi scored 48 runs in 45 balls with the help of four fours.
