ICC World Cup 2023 Prize Money in Indian Rupees (INR): The International Cricket Council (ICC), a few days ago, announced the full list of rewards awaiting the ICC World Cup 2023. The apex cricket body informed that a massive pool of USD 10 Million is set aside for the coveted tournament, which is set to get underway on October 5.
The winning side of the ICC World Cup 2023 will get a minimum of a whopping 40 percent of the allotted prize pool for the tournament, which makes up USD 4 Million. While the losing finalist would receive half the amount fetched by the winning side.
The two losing teams in the semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2023 would get a cheque of USD 800,000 each which adds up to USD 1,600,000.
To make it further interesting for the teams, each win in the group stage for the teams would fetch them a handsome amount from the announced prize pool. A Group Stage victory in the World Cup 2023 would earn them USD 40,000.
At the end of the round-robin group stage, each team failing to make it to the semi-final will get a consolation reward of USD 100,000. This amount will be added to the victories scored by the team, which would earn them USD 40,000, and a collective sum will be awarded.
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 starts on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium with the game between England and New Zealand. The two teams played the 2019 World Cup Final, which was won by England on their home soil. The final of the 2023 World Cup is also set to be held in Ahmedabad on November 19.
